Writing Task II

The birth rate in most developed countries is predicted to begin to fall over the next 50 years. By 2030 it is estimated that over one third of the population in most developed countries will be aged 65 and over.

What effects will these predictions have on developed countries if they prove true? What can be done now to deal with this situation?

It is a horrible prediction I’ve ever heard. In some developed countries like japan it has become true. The birth rate in this country has been falling down since several years ago. It leads this country to have big decline in population. This situation makes this country have such a big problem because they are lacking of human resources. It will make this country gets high decresing on their productivities and it means they will not have enough income because the taxes will get lower, meanwhile they also have to spend more money to pay pensions. So to deal with this situation, there are two ways that can be done by government.
First of all, the goverment have to invite many labors from another countrie wich have a big number of population to work in their country. Hopefully this way can increas their productivities so they can get a big income to fulfill their needs.
The second way is to make new policy about ages of pensions. They have to narrow longer ages than before. For example, if usually they are retired in age fivety, the new policy should be saying that they will get retired in ages after 60. So, by this policy they will keep working ten years longer than before. Even this way seems like unpleasant way, but it will make this country able to save more money.
As a conclution, the decline of population in one country will lead that country to have a big deal. And to deal with this situation, new decision should be made. Even sometimes it could be unusual decision, but this is the most possible way to help this this country.
